Loadout Errors and Inconsistencies

I mentioned on the unsung topic on the bohemia forums that there was a bug with some of the 65 us army soldiers having 30rnd mags in their packs and decided to do a little digging into the other loadouts in the game to find if their was any other issues.
So far i have only covered the US Forces and that took me 4 hours.

The following was found with ARMA 3 Main Branch Ver 1.82 Hotfix and Unsung Ver 3.6E

US 11th ACR
1st Sergeant - Armed with M14 but has 20rnd 5.56mm magazines in pack
Grenadier (M79) - Nothing in pack
Rifleman (M16) - Nothing in pack
Rifleman (M72) - Nothing in pack
MG (M60) - Nothing in pack, only 2 spare belts
MG Assistant (M16 HBar) - The M16 HBar fulfills more of an Automatic Rifleman role than the MG Assistant which was stated to mainly use a pistol or rifle.
Platoon Leader - Empty pack
Regimental Commander - Mainly armed with 30rnd 5.56 magazines but pack is full of 20rnd
RSM - Same as Regimental Commander
Regimental XO - Same as Regimental Commander
RTO - Radio inventory item in uniform with short wave radio in use
Scout (M2) - Is in tiper stripe instead of OD.
Squad Leader (XM-177E1) - Only 3 x 20rnd 5.56mm magazines in uniform with webbing mostly empty and pack completely empty
Troop Commander - Same as Regimental Commander

Other - The groups do not seem to conform to US Army TO&E at the time.

173rd LRRP
Commander (XM-177E2) - Mainly armed with 30rnd 5.56 magazines but pack is full of 20rnd.
Demolitions (M3a1) - No tool kit to disarm
Grenadier (XM-177GL - Weapon is loading rifle rounds into grenade slot in inventory UI and not showing the loaded grenade.
Heavy MG (AK47-52) - Tripod bag is holding flare launcher and flares.
Heavy Weapons Support (M16) - Tripod bag is holding flare launcher and flares.
Machine Gunner Assistant (M16 HBar) - The M16 HBar fulfills more of an Automatic Rifleman role than the MG Assistant which was stated to mainly use a pistol or rifle.
Marksmen (M16 SDx4) - Empty pack
Marksmen (M16 x4) - Empty pack
Marksmen (Model 700 SD) - Empty pack
Medic (M16) - Model is shown to use 20rnd 5.56mm magazines and the magazines in the uniform and vest show this but there are 8 x 30rnd 5.56mm magazines in pack.
RTO (XM-177E1) - Radio inventory item in uniform with short wave radio in use

US 1st Inf Division 1965
Demolitions (M16) - No toolkit for disarm
Grenadier (M79) - Carrying 8 x 20rnd 5.56mm magazines in webbing.
Heavy Weapons Support (M16) - Tripod bag is holding flare launcher and flares
Machine Gunner Assistant (M16 HBar) - Armed with M16A1 HBar which was not available in 1965.
Marksmen (M16SD) - Empty pack and only holding 3 x 20rnd 5.56mm magazines spare.
Marksmen (M16x4) - Empty pack and only holding 3 x 20rnd 5.56mm magazines spare.
Medic (M16) - Holds only 3 x 20rnd 5.56mm magazines in webbing but has 8 x 30rnd in pack.
MG Section AA Gunner (M16a1) - Should be named M16 not M16a1, only holding 3 x 20rnd 5.56mm magazines
MG Section Gunner (all variants) - Should be named M16 not M16a1, only holding 3 x 20rnd 5.56mm magazines
NCO (M16 DM) - Holds only 4 x 20rnd 5.56mm magazines in webbing but has 8 x 30rnd in pack.
Platoon Leader (M16) - Same as NCO
Rifleman 1,2,3,4,6 (M16) Same as NCO
RTO (M16) - Same ammunition issue as NCO, Radio inventory item in uniform with short wave radio in use
Sapper (M14) - Unit is equipped with M16, has same ammunition issue as NCO
Security Team 2 (M16a1/Tripod) - Should be named M16 not M16a1, Tripod bag is holding flare launcher and flares
Security Team 1 (M16a1/Searchlight) - Should be named M16 not M16a1

25th Inf Div Art
Cannoneer # 1 Swabber (M16) - Armed with M14
RTO (M16) - Radio inventory item in uniform with short wave radio in use

25th Inf Division 1968
AT (M16a1/M72) - 20rnd 5.56mm magazines in ruck.
Casualty (M16a1) - Same as AT
Demolitions (M16a1) - Same as AT, No toolkit for disarm
Engineer (M16a1) - Same as AT
Grenadier (M79) - Carrying 8 x 20rnd 5.56mm magazines
Heavy Weapons Support (M16a1) - Tripod bag is holding flare launcher and flares
Machine Gunner Assistant (M16a1 HBar) -  The M16 HBar fulfills more of an Automatic Rifleman role than the MG Assistant which was stated to mainly use a pistol or rifle, carries BAR ammunition in pack
MG Section Gunners (All Variants) - only 2-3 x 30rnd 5.56mm magazines held
Mortar Section Gunner - Holding 200rnd M60 belt
NCO (XM-177E1 DM) - weapon is shown fitted with 20rnd 5.56mm magazines but 8 x 30rnd magazines are held in pack
Rifleman (M16a1) - Carries single 20rnd 5.56mm magazine in webbing but is otherwise supplied with 30rnd magazines.
RTO (M16a1) - Radio inventory item in uniform with short wave radio in use
Sentry Team 2 (M16a1/Tripod) - Tripod bag is holding flare launcher and flares

5th SFG 1965
AT (M870/M72) - M72 launcher starts unloaded with rocket in pack
Demolitions (MkIV Sterling) - Toolkit for disarm
Grenader (XM-41 China Lake) - Holds 8 x L1a1 mags in pack, cannot load the single 40mm HEDP rounds held in pack
Grenadier (M16a1/M203) - Holds 40mm buckshot rounds in webbing which cannot be loaded into M203, Weapon is loading rifle rounds into grenade slot in inventory UI and not showing the loaded grenade.
Grenadier (XM-177e2/XM148) - Weapon is loading rifle rounds into grenade slot in inventory UI and not showing the loaded grenade.
Heavy Weapons Support (XM177e1) - Tripod bag is holding flare launcher and flares
Marksmen (XM177e1 x 4) - Weapon is shown fitted with 20rnd 5.56mm magazines but 30rnd magazines are held in pack
Medic (M16) - Armed with M16a1 which was not available till 1967
Mortar man (both variants) - Carrying 200rnd M60 belt
RTO (XM-177e2) - Radio inventory item in uniform with short wave radio in use
Scout (L1a1) - Armed with PPK but carrying no spare magazines
Specialist (XM-177x4) - Weapon is shown fitted with 20rnd 5.56mm magazines but 30rnd magazines are held in pack
Specialist (Mac-10 SD) - Radio inventory item in uniform with short wave radio in use
Specialist (Uzi) - Has radio pack but no corresponding radio inventory item.

Other - Did not look further into whether most of the XM series where available in 1965.

6th transportation Btn
Tank Driver - Carries radio inventory item but not the radio manpack

7th SFG 1969
Mostly the same issues that i found with 5th SFG except for the following
Grenadier (XM-41 China Lake) - All Good
Grenadier (XM-177e2/XM148) - Weapon is shown fitted with 20rnd 5.56mm magazines but 30rnd magazines are held.

US Aircrew
Pilot (USAF/352nd TFS) - Has 366th TFS Helmet in vest.
Pilot (USAF/366th TFS) - Has duplicate Helmet in vest.
Pilot w/Visor (USAF/389th TFS) - Has 366th TFS Helmet in vest.

MACV - SOG
Indig (M3) - Empty pack
Indig (M45) - Empty pack
Indig (RPD) - Carries only 1 spare drum mag
Indig (XM-177e2 Stock) - Empty pack
Indig Grenadier (M79) - Empty pack
Indig Grenadier (XM-177e2/XM148) - Empty pack
Pointman (AK-47) - Empty pack
One-Two/Medic (XM-177e2) - Is equipped with radio pack but no corresponding radio inventory item

Other - Most indig forces have no spare magazines for sidearms

Navy Seals
Assaultman 3 (M63a Stoner) - No spare ammunition for M63a
Demolitions (M63a AR) - No spare ammunition for sidearm
Grenadier (M16a1/M203) - Holds 40mm buckshot rounds in webbing which cannot be loaded into M203, Weapon is loading rifle rounds into grenade slot in inventory UI and not showing the loaded grenade, holds only 2 x 30rnd 5.56mm magazines.
Marksmen (All variants) - No spare ammunition for sidearm
Medic (M16a1) - No spare ammunition for sidearm, Is equipped with radio pack but no corresponding radio inventory item
Team Leader (XM-177e2) - No spare ammunition for sidearm, Is equipped with radio pack but no corresponding radio inventory item

USMC 2nd Battalion 1968
AT (M16/M72) -  M72 launcher starts unloaded with rocket in pack, Carries little 5.56mm ammuniton.
Demolition (M16) - Toolkit for disarm
Heavy Weapons Support (M14/Tripod) - Tripod bag is holding flare launcher and flares
MG Section Gunners (M16 Both Variants) - Low Ammuntion for M16
RTO (M16) - Radio inventory item in uniform with short wave radio in use
Security Team 2 (M16/Tripod) - Tripod bag is holding flare launcher and flares

USMC 3rd Battalion 1965
AT (M14/M72) - M72 launcher starts unloaded with rocket in pack

Boat Gunner Bandanna (M16) - No belt kit
Boat Gunner Helmet (M16) - No belt kit

I hope this helps and if i have some more spare time i will work through the other factions as well.

Hello,

thanks a lot for compiling this massive list of shortcomings! Unfortunately developer and tester power is also limited at Unsung, so we haven't really had time to look into it yet. But I hope we will do so in the future. Thanks again for your effort!
